NEIGHBORHOOD TOY STORE DAY is

Celebrating the power of play. 

With a long weekend coming up, we’ve got some fun, free things for kids to do. The Artbeat Studio is OPEN for walk-in activities at all other times.

Starting Thursday, we’re hosting 4 interactive 
TOY MAKER LABS for boys and girls age 7 and older
Each activity takes 20-30 minutes. and kids will leave with something they’ve made plus a giveaway and a chance to win a prize. Please note that only kids who are old enough to work independently can be seated. If you need to bring a younger child with you, we will have something for them to play with while they wait with you on the side.

Mobius
THURSDAY, NOV 9, 6-7 PM CHAIN MAILLE
Chain maille started out as protective clothing for knights, but now is a way to make bracelets, necklaces and other items with metal loops. Join us this evening to learn how to make a mobius charm to use as a keychain or zipper pull. Enter to win a Linkt jewelry kit with enough materials to share with your friends.

FRIDAY, NOV 10, 6-7 PM TINKER TIME CHALLENGE
What can you make with these fun and strange materials? Figure it out and enter to win a Tinker box for yourself with enough materials to share with a friend.

Puppet TheaterSATURDAY, NOV 11, 10:30-NOON
this one’s for kids of all ages 

(7 and younger with adult help)CEREAL BOX PUPPET THEATER

Learn how to turn a cereal box into a puppet theater with local inventor Holly Capski of Mac & Craft. Bring your own empty box or use one of ours. Families are also encouraged to bring a new, unopened box of cereal to donate to the Arlington Food Pantry.

Everyone’s crazy about Crazy Aaron’s Thinking Putty! Make your own putty concoction with color and sparkle. Name your invention, and enter to win a Big Handful of your favorite putty.
