Arlington First Lights 2016 in Capitol Square!

East Arlington’s vibrant business district—celebrates First Lights 2016, on Saturday, December 3, from 12 noon to 5pm, with festive entertainment, refreshments, special sales, and holiday activities for the entire family.

“It’s important to remember that community is what we make it,” says Diane Buxton, member of the Capitol Square Business Association and owner of Luv and Other Gifts. “And First Lights is a great opportunity for our community to come together and celebrate the holiday season.”

A few community gatherings coming to Capitol Square this holiday season include creative art making that promotes inclusion—such as rings of color felt ornaments and safety pin decorating—as well as a book drive and other fundraisers for social justice organizations.
